MakerDAO Contributor - Q4

2020 was a wild year both in and out of the Crypto-space — and Q4, its coda, was bound to be intense over at MakerDAO. Was 2021 looming menacingly just over a black, ever-dwarfing horizon or rather was it leisurely waving us welcome onto a dreamy prairie worlds apart from 2020's turmoils? Here's a quick summary of how Q4 finally resolved: We said goodbye to valued members Lucas and Kurt but also hello to a whole host of new contributors in the forum (shout-out to the Comm Dev team)! Overall, the Maker team is growing to new heights as DAI climbs its way up the cryptocurrency market-cap ladder, all while staying true to our decentralized vision. The Peg Stability Module (PSM) was resurrected, led entirely by community contributors! We rallied after a unique flash loan attack on the chief and in response activated DsChief v1.2 as an important security upgrade. Just in Q4 alone we also ratified our Operational Support Domain, launched our Collateral Onboarding Handbook, and welcomed a legal assessment fellow in a collaboration with Kleros. So yeah, we work out. Community members love our new Governance Portal that enables quick and easy voting and are very happy with our continued funding for SourceCred, making it easier than ever to get paid to contribute to the Maker ecosystem. All in all, Q4 did resolve quite nicely, not half as ominously as our darkest fears! And we couldn’t have done it without you, our amazing community. So however you participated in Q4, we appreciate you being part of this adventure and we’re looking forward to a bright 2021!
